Li Rongrong is a Chinese politician who served as the Chairman of the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) from 2003 to 2010. He was born in 1944 in Shanxi Province, China.
Li Rongrong graduated from Tsinghua University with a degree in engineering and began his career in the machinery industry before moving into government service. He held various positions in the Ministry of Machinery Industry before being appointed as the head of SASAC.
During his time as Chairman of SASAC, Li played a key role in overseeing China's large state-owned enterprises and promoting their development. He also led efforts to reform and restructure these enterprises to make them more competitive in the global market.
Li Rongrong retired from his position as Chairman of SASAC in 2010 and has since stayed out of the public eye. He is known for his contributions to the Chinese economy and his efforts to modernize state-owned enterprises in the country.
